Fellowship
At the University of Colorado, Denver, Krueger completed a fellowship in cardiology and a sub-specialty in interventional cardiology. “My grandfather and I had spent hours in the garage, tinkering with different pumps,” remarked Krueger. “The heart, after all, is simply a pump.”
Mid Valley Cardiology
The Kruegers had another son in 1994. In 1995, Krueger joined an established group of cardiologists on the West Coast. In 1996, the Kruegers were blessed with another daughter.
In 2002, Krueger founded Mid Valley Cardiology. By evaluating the patients’ family history and symptoms, Dr. Krueger provides appropriate, accurate testing for the best treatment possible. His desire is to provide patients with an old-fashioned doctor-patient relationship with cutting edge medical technology.
Early Years
Raised in a small town in southeastern Washington State, Michael L. Krueger was the first in his family to complete college. Graduating from high school at the top of his class in 1981, he went on to Washington State University, interested in pursuing a medical career. He spent time volunteering in a local hospital. “I learned that the best doctors are open, honest, and plain talking,” says Krueger.
Undergraduate
Through his friendship with mentor Raymond Kania, D.O., Krueger was encouraged to pursue study in an osteopathic medical school. Krueger completed his undergraduate degree with honors in 1985, one year after marrying his junior high school sweetheart.
